rewards and recognition A to Z (N=No...)

No: You must know your limits and must be prepared to say "no". Even if you have a broad-brush program, you are not going to be able to offer everything to everyone. For a start there is a risk of diminishing the perceived value of the reward; but more importantly, the return on investment can be undermined. Staff appreciate a balanced, fair and transparent suite of rewards. Generally this sense of reasonableness will self-limit and avoid unrealistic expectations.
