rewards and recognition A to Z (D=Differentiate...)

Differentiate: Any reward and recognition program must differentiate on the basis of performance. Recognition must be real: "vanilla" is not something to reward. Many successful programs use teams to nominate top performers from within for recognition. The important thing is that good and great performance does stand out and should be acknowledge. Don't be trapped into thinking that "doing your job" needs to be rewarded.
