rewards and recognition A to Z (E=Executives...)

Executives: There are some interesting trends, especially since the economic crisis, that suggest that the total executive spend is getting less, with more and more companies looking from within to source cheaper CEOs. But executives (like all other employees) need recognition. In today's climate, mature organisations will look to their executives to burden a larger proportion of economic pain. Flexibility and non-monetary rewards are arguably more important for executives. Mobility, technological access to support flexible working styles and focused development (with sound return on investment) are all sound approaches to avoid the dreaded "bonus". But as with all other staff, know your executives and their needs: and don't forget to differentiate!
