Standing recognition offers such as 1% discount on a specific brand of insurance can hardly expect staff to stand up and take notice. Rewards that have the biggest most sustained impact are those that can be shared. Shared with family, shared with friends: what matters is sharing the experience and the excitement outside of the workplace. This type of reward telegraphs beyond the walls of the organisation that staff are valued.
